“…every research after her course had been vain: the country
had been scoured far and wide; no vestige of information could be gathered
respecting her. Yet that she should be found is become a matter of serious
urgency: advertisements have been put in all the papers” (571).
Jane Eyre has often been compared to Cinderella with her
tragic childhood and her condemned lifestyle. Jane was prone to believe that she would hardly find love, but like any true Cinderella she came across her prince
charming, Mr. Rochester. Similar to that of Cinderella she finds herself forced
to leave because of her certain predicament. Mr. Rochester, being the true
prince charming, does not stop till he finds her. The quote above connects
Mr.Rochester’s search for Jane to Prince Charming’s search for the girl that
fit into the glass slipper. Jane Eyre in many ways is similar to Cinderella.
