Jane Eyre is a book that has been influential to many and
also expressed various ideas that were new in that time period. I found the
book insightful and entertaining. Unlike many of the other novels read in
British Literature this novel stuck with me as I read along. Jane’s experiences and life situations were many of the same situations that people
still face today.
Jane was a part of the Christian faith but also was
introduced to many confinements of the faith she thought were constricting.
Various people throughout her life told her that she could never be a good christian because of who she was and her social standing. But, Jane being the
strong woman that she was, she stuck to her beliefs regardless of what others
thought.
My blog is a personal response to many of the characters,
themes, and ideals that are discussed in the novel as well as connections to experiences faced in my own life. If any idea I have discussed offends you,
